I believe this is a downfall in revenue for google as a lot of affiliates participate in the Adwords program. However on the alternative side Adbrite and other Ad Networks will increase their revenue from googles losses. Think about yahoo's and Microsoft Publisher services. They will see an increase as well. Most affiliates will start making webpages to rank higher for other search engines so their affiliate products of course will rank higher in the organic listings, not to mention any kind of revenue they will make from their Search Ad campaigns. I feel google may be cutting their throat on this one. I feel Social Networks and tag sites will see an increase of revenue as well from affiliates looking to promote products and services.

<!--

Being a search marketer and knowing how rankings work I bet other Search Marketers are using the basic techniques. First they are going to keep up with Alexa.com rankings and keep up to date with technorati.com on the latest blogging news and what they have to say about the competition. I will be also looking at the growth trend for the next few months using analytics and graphs to look at past history and what might be the future numbers, of course there are other factors like who may post big news and events that will draw in readers to their blog but marketing might bring in more people driving in a short few months of higher number of visitors that of course will die down after awhile, in the mean time boosting the numbers up so the competition will be won. I wonder who some of the big time betters will be? What I can say though is that it will most likely come down to 2 bloggers like Engadget.com and Googles Matt Cutts. Your PPC ads should strive to be as relevant as, if not more so than, their ads are, and you should endeavor to make your ads more relevant than the organic/algorithmic results in every engine. This important point was made clear in a recent high-level meeting with Microsoft; MSN is taking its underdog position quite seriously.
Sometimes, brainstorming and debating search's future with smart people can be a great catalyst for reminding us of things we know but probably haven't thought of lately. At the Microsoft/MSN Strategic Account Summit, I had an opportunity to chat with Christopher Payne, a leader in search user experience, about the market's current state and searchers' behavior and relevance expectations. I postulated that over time, paid search results should and would become more relevant than organic results for search queries that have commercial intent or relate to researching a purchase. Payne countered that currently there's often a huge gulf in relevance between paid and organic listings.
Then it hit me. There's no reason organic search should be more relevant than paid search. Quite the contrary. SEO (define) spammers don't care if they manage to get a high position for keywords and keywords phrases that are less than perfectly relevant, because a high SEO position delivers clicks for free, be they perfectly targeted or only marginally relevant. PPC search marketers, however, have no such luxury. They pay for every click, and any click with a poor chance of converting due to poor relevance has an ever-increasing cost.............

To read more click on title link

<!--

After all slap up a little content with links and a picture or so and everything should be fine. Actually it is pretty easy but there are a few things that need to be done to that webpage before you start to market it to the public. You have already researched your keyword or keyphrase for that webpage and your ready to put some copy onto the page. Lets start with Keyword Placement. Having the keywords in your title and description tags are of course important for the search engines but when those pages are crawled you want to actually see what the search engines will see and what important information they are taking back to their database. Keyword placement should be in the header and in bold to give weight. This is important for search engines as it gives better relevance. Keywords need to be in your body and footer as well. Using other keyword correlation as backlinks gives you webpage more importance as well and brings up your keyword count. Keyword density is the 2nd step too take. Keywords should be placed in the opening sentences about 3-5 times and if you can place a few of those keywords close together, for instance just before and after a period. When creating your correlating Backlinks those keywords should be right next to or below eachother placing those keywords 1 to 2 times in the footer is good practice as well. Webpage copy is the 3rd step to take. You need proper copy for your pages to look good for consumers and not look like a slapped up page. Your pages should look professional with a picture and a proper image tag for the search engines. Webpage copy needs to be descriptive and effective and not look keyword spammy while keeping the attention of the consumer. Good webpage copy needs to keep the consumer or direct them to the proper information they are looking for. Good webpage copy should have an opening paragraph of not more than 3-6 sentences with those proper keywords. The keyword links on the page should have proper description if they are pointing to a correlating page. Proper copy in the footer should be at least 1-2 sentences in the bottom. These are the basic steps in keyword placement, density, and webpage copy. I have a few webmaster tools located here for you convenience that are free to use to help you in building your webpages for the search engines and consumers, please feel free to use them. To break it down in more simple terms, affiliate marketing is when you promote products and services for companies, in return you are compensated when a certain amount of consumers are sent their way or make a purchase. Search Engine Marketing is where you put together campaigns and strategies to receive consumers from search engines who are searching for products and services through organic listings or (PPC) Pay Per Click sponsored ads. Bring these two together and you can have a lucrative business at your doorstep. Did you know about 80% of of products and services are found through the search engines? To start with affiliate search engine marketing of course its best to have your own website and domain name. Choosing the right affiliate products to promote and how you go about implementing the task is what marketing is all about. Signing up for these affiliate programs is as easily as filling out a few forms and the push of a button, however there may be certain restrictions you have to fallow in order to be compensated so make sure to read the terms of agreement before promoting any affiliate product. To give an example some affiliate programs may allow you to promote their products by e-mail or newsletter and some may let you use gifting to draw in customers as an incentive to encourage consumers to buy the products and services. I like to use commission junction for most of my affiliate programs as they provide website publishers the chance to promote many products and services in an easy to use all in one control panel. Commission Junction tracks all impressions, clicks, and purchases from your affiliates and provides you with a single check or electronic deposit once a month to make things much easier for their publishers. There are a few tools and simple rules I use in building my webpages which include onsite and offsite optimization with marketing techniques. First what I do is use a keyword tool such as wordtracker and I research how many times a day those keywords are searched for and I check to see how competitive those are as well. Some affiliate programs may allow you to use their keywords in a URL or description in your content and some may not. I use wordtracker to seek out these alternative keywords and see if they are more targeted to the product or service I will be promoting. Second I build my webpages in simple html and JavaScript for the reason that these pages load fast and are very search engine friendly for the little amount of specifically placed content they will contain. Each webpage should be specific to a keyword or keyphrase with the proper title and description meta-tags. I use one graphic picture and place those keywords that explain the picture in the alt-image tag. I make sure I put those keywords in the header, body and footer of my webpages as well. The keywords should be in bold at least 1 to 2 times to give more weight and emphasis. I look to make keyword density fit about 4 to 6 times within the first 4 to 5 sentences. I use simple JavaScript for banners and pictures displaying the products and services offered. I mind you this does not always give the best looking layout of a webpage but if you have a nice looking template that will give it a more professional look. If you are promoting products within a certain category you may want to link the pages together with a good keyword backlink and description which creates correlation to the product or service the link points too. Correlation is good for organic search engine results as they show snippets of a webpage with those keywords that was queried upon and may include a second listing right under the first. These techniques are the basics of onsite optimization for a search engine friendly webpage. Offsite optimization is about marketing your affiliate programs to search engines and consumers. There are a few basic marketing strategies I use to bring in targeted traffic to the affiliate programs quickly until my new webpages are indexed by the search engines. I will use a advertising program such as adbrite.com to drive in traffic to my affiliate programs. Adbrite has reasonable rates and many publishers to chose from that show your ads to the general public or you can use site targeting to get more relevant traffic from consumers looking for the products or services you are promoting. These (PPC) campaigns allow you to set a daily advertising budget so you don't drain your account or are charged for unnecessary clicks from your competitors. Sending and e-mail campaign to subscribers in the form of a newsletter is targeted and more cost effective that should see a good (ROI). I may join forums and discussion groups that may contribute to my marketing efforts by providing information and resources, such as this blog. I will research blogs out ahead of time and post relevant backlinks and descriptions providing a source of more information for blog readers and not just any old blog spam that has nothing to do with the blog or post. I write Webmaster asking for a permanent reciprocal link coming from a targeted page or a high PageRanked webpage, which of course ranks higher in Googles search results. I hand submit my website to directories and nitche websites. Depending on how competitive your keywords are the longer it may take to get ranked higher in the search engine results, but this is not always the case when you have good onsite and offsite optimization techniques at hand. Search Engines change their algorithm and it is a good idea to stay abreast on the latest changes in the search engine marketing world to keep your business at the top. I just started making about an extra $1,200 a month promoting affiliate programs using these techniques I have described above. There is a little more to it than I described above about other marketing strategies I use when marketing affiliate products. This has lead to Search Engine Marketing of not just affiliate products as well for me that provides an extra source of income.

<!--

If you are trying to rank higher in Google with many backlinks and post many backlinks on many blogs then you are a spammer. Now if you post many backlinks on well researched blogs and put up descriptive links in correlation to what the blog is about then you have relevancy of what the topic is about and a correlation to what you are linking to which gives more importance to someone that has searched for something and was directed to that blog. The best way to get good PageRank and higher placement in Google is to of course write the blogger or webmaster and ask for a link or reciprocal link and of course try to get the link on a page with good PageRank. If you have many backlinks with good PageRank and correlation this should always rank your website higher in the organic listings.

<!--

When implementing web marketing you build a strategy and do some campaigns to see what works the best for you, and what product is in a higher demand. Web marketing allows you to market to a specific group of people or a Geo-targeted area campaign. Things to consider when implementing a Web Marketing Campaign

1. Make a budget

2. Do you want to (PPC) or (PPV)

3. Geo-Targeted Campaign?

4. Market in a newsletter?

5. Email Campaign?

6. Adblasting to 2,500,000 websites?

When choosing a marketing campaign, you may want to speak to a Web Marketing Specialist and they can help you decide what may best fit your needs. E-commerce Specialist Keep up with the latest trends in the online war of Web Marketing and you can be assured our knowledgeable staff will help you out every step of the way leading your business in the future of E-Commerce. Please see our services page for more detail’s on pricing and option’s for Web Marketing.

Planning a web marketing strategy or campaign!

First we would suggest you make a budget. Web Marketing campaigns could be costly and depending on where you want to market to, your publishers could charge you a hefty fee. Once you run a few campaigns you will get the feel for what kind of marketing campaign works best for you and where to put your resources to work for you. You do not want to spend your marketing departments budget right away on some advertising that may be costly and not effective in the long run.

Second you should decide if a PPC or PPV marketing campaign will best suit your needs. Pay Per Click is when you pay Search Engines or a company to display a banner impression or text link for certain keywords that you want displayed that will link to your product or website and when those links are clicked on you get charged for each click. These clicks can easily run from a few cents to $20 or more depending on how popular the keyword is that you choose to market. Pay Per View is similar to PPC however you are only charged when a consumer clicks thru to your site. The only problems I see with this kind of campaign is that your competition can click away at your link and drain your budget , however this has been proven to be very successful for many companies for the reasons that you get a lot more visitors in the shortest amount of time to your website and to the product you are marketing. The more traffic you generate from web marketing the more business is going to grow.

Third, who are you going to market to? Have you thought about it? Is your service or product for world markets, regional or local!. Running a Geo-Targeted Campaign is an important step in marketing for the reason being that your service or product must fit the consumers need that they will be marketed to. Is your website written in another language or can it be viewed by other browsers. If you take this approach ahead of time before you start your web marketing campaigns, things will go a little more smooth for you in the long run and you will receive more traffic to your website or product you are marketing.

Fourth, do you have a newsletter? Do you have a form set-up on your website for consumers to subscribe to for your newsletter? Newsletter Marketing is a growing trend in web marketing. Marketing a Newsletter to your consumers give them information they want to read about. This gives them a reason to keep coming back to your website and even refer their friends and family to your website or newsletter as well and will create a loyal following. Think about this, if you have a email list of a few thousand or more how much traffic are you going to generate? This is where you can turn the tide and start making a revenue from the advertising space in your newsletter and can considerably lead to a substantial income as advertisers request for what advertising space you have left in your Newsletter.

Fifth, EMail Campaign marketing is very essential for every business trying to market a service or product. You can run an opt-in opt-out list for your subscribers automatically so if they want to keep your Newsletter or advertisements coming, they can do so at their choice. New ways of running a email campaign, are Geo-Targeted, Gender Targeted, Generation Targeted and Content Targeted. These Campaigns speak for themselves, but what are Content Targeted Email Campaigns? This type of marketing campaign or advertising is subscriber specific or categorically specific. Subscribers can choose to have their Newsletter or advertisement come in Text, or HTML format. They can choose if they want flash, sound, and Video Mail in their Newsletter or Email. This type of marketing is relatively a new concept, and more people are subscribing for this type of interactive content, because it is more entertaining and informative for their needs. You can see why and how e-mail marketing is generating big profits for advertisers and companies looking to broaden their horizons for their consumers and make a profit providing the specific content subscribed for.

Sixth, we wanted to touch base on a service that we offer and we feel generates substantial traffic to our website, and to our advertisers that we promote for. Adblasting to E-zines, websites and blogs that automatically post a marketing advertisement for the website or product you are promoting. Ipblasting to internet surfers. Ipblasting is a type of pop-up that simply sends out an advertisement to millions of IP Addresses on the web at that time and displays whatever message you wish to show up and can disappear with the click of your mouse or pointing device. Affiliate advertising uses this type of marketing quite effectively to generate traffic and a revenue from it This type of Marketing is automated, fast, efficient, affordable, and you do not have to worry about any kind of spam complaints to your ISP or Hosting provider.

<!--

Promotional Advertising (you give something away like a E-Book)

Our Services cover many of these, and we even include certain advertising campaigns when you expedite a package deal. For pricing and options please see our services page for more details.

Lets touch base on Internet advertising, the basics, where to get started and how to effectively advertise so you can see a proper ROI. We are going to explain the advertising strategies listed above in a brief description so this will give you an idea of the ways to quickly implement these methods of Internet advertising.

E-Zines are a great place for you to start advertising because most of them are free. E-Zines are read by many people and are usually kept up-to date with new content and articles added daily, not to mention their wealth of information at your finger tips.

News Groups are another form of free advertising. You can sign up for a news group and leave a free link to your website or product that you are promoting. This can generate a little more traffic for you that is targeted and more specific, in return gives you better results in your advertising efforts.

News Letter advertising is a form of Marketing that we will get into on our marketing page in more detail. This type of advertising is very effective when it comes to generating traffic to your website and you can turn a profit for renting out the advertising space in your newsletter. You should have a form set-up on your website for consumers to subscribe to your newsletter. Once you get a substantial fallowing of subscribers, then that is when you will start getting the calls for advertising space.

Banner Advertising flash or not is still an effective tool for advertising. You can put a flashing graphic or text on display on other sites as well, or your icon. Think about it, growing up what are the things you remember most about advertisements, it is usually the icon or phrase used in the advertisement right? You can exchange your links as well with the webmaster of other sites or pay a fee to have your banner displayed for so many impressions.

Text Link Advertising, You see Google adwords do this quite a bit. Why you ask? Text Link Advertising is simple, small and to the point. More people click on text links for the reason that it looks like part of the website and usually leads to the rest of the sentence or advertisement. Text Link Advertising is a leading form of advertising that is generating outstanding revenues for businesses far and wide including website publishers. Use our Internet Advertising Adsense Tool to see Text Link Advertising displayed on websites. Please scroll down.

Pay Per Click (PPC) or Pay Per View (PPV) Advertising are very effective ways of generating quick traffic and a quick and effective revenue. Be wary because you have to set a budget for this type of advertising as to you usually have to bid on keywords, and depending on how popular those words are you can pay from a few cents up-to $20 or more per click. Your competition can also as well click on your links to deplete your account very quickly.

Blogvertising is adding your links to blog sites and or pay a small fee for advertising to the blogs. Blogs are important because consumers can sign up for free. Blogs are a way for readers to express their opinions and they can blog your site or link . This adds to the popularity of your site for search engine rankings and it also spreads the word quickly on the web.

Affiliate Advertising is when you Advertise or promote a product or website for someone else or their business and you get paid for either sending traffic their way or when a consumer signs up for their product or service. There are affiliate networks out there that make a substantial profit from this, and some make more than $10,000 a month individually. Usually to make this kind of money you have to be an exceptional webmaster and know what e-commerce is all about as well as use the right tools effectively in order to accomplish your tasks.

EMail Campaign advertising is the most effective form of advertising because you can send out personalized E-Mail that is targeted and based upon a specific consumers preferences. You can sell advertising space or send them advertisements in Text, Flash, HTML, sound and Video Mail. Think about it, commercials in your e-mail, how many commercials do you see on TV? Now how many are targeted to what you like based on your preferences. This would grab your attention more than just any advertisement right. Think now how much revenue you could generate from E-Mail advertising.

Promotional advertising is when you give something away for free. Lets say you receive this free item and you think someone else may benefit from it as well, because it has an informational value to it. They are going to tell other people about it. Word Of Mouth as you know can be the best advertisement because of the consumer usually spreads the word from a personal experience with the product. You can include a free link to your website for this promotional product and as consumers share it, they share your links that will drive more traffic to your website in return generating a revenue for you and your clientele.

<!--
